About the Author: Dave Patten

Renaissance man may be the best way to describe musician, writer, producer and actor Dave Patten, whose creative passions often necessitate more time for work than sleep.

2013 has been a breakout year for Dave with the publishing of his first novel, Run of The Mill, a dramatic story about a rich playboy who must come to terms with his demons, and the release of his film in November, Delivery Man, from DreamWorks, alongside Vince Vaughn.

Dave s trajectory and creative drive can all be connected to his love of music. Growing up around everything from classical to R&B, Dave quickly took to the drums, mastering his skill-set with local bands. However, Dave didn t stop there, conquering the piano, guitar, bass, trumpet, trombone and cello, which not only allowed him to hone his unique sound, but write and produce his own music as well. With a mix of acoustic, rock and synthesized melodies, his cross-genre style has garnered much attention. In 2006 Dave began posting videos on YouTube, amassing over 60 million page views and a social network following numbering in the thousands, and growing exponentially.

While Dave was perfecting his craft, he crossed paths with rap artist Meek Mill, another Philadelphia native. Meek and Dave quickly bonded leading this unlikely partnership into a unique collaboration and Dave signing to Meek s label, DreamChasers Records. Dave grew up in Philadelphia, entrenching himself in the music scene there. As he made a name for himself in local venues, Dave continually strived to learn and grow as an artist. Dave continuously searches out unique and interesting projects that allow him any and all opportunities for creative outlet.
