What is Feature and Follow? F&F is a weekly blog hop that consists of book bloggers. It is hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee . The rules of involvement are simple: 1.) Link up on the blog hop Linky gadget below this post, 2.) follow the hosts via their network of choice, 3.) follow the weekly featured blog via their network of choice (this week is Magic of Words ), and lastly, 4) check out the rest of the blogs on the hop! If you become a new follower of a blog, let them know and they will follow you back. The F&F is a great way to network, meet other book bloggers, and gain new followers. Even more so, it's a great way to drive discussion on a certain weekly topic. This week, the topic is: Describe your Christmas book haul! Which books did you receive? If you do not celebrate Christmas, which books did you receive/buy/read this week? Our responses: There are two bloggers for The Book Cove featured. Be sure to check out both of their follow sites. I couldn't agree more. I've got to learn when to say no. It isn't personal, I just don't want to get overwhelmed! Happy Friday! Old follower.

I totally agree with you. This is your blog and you can do whatever you want with it...as long as you're not violating any TOS. :D
ReplyDeleteNew follower on bloglovin. Thanks for stopping by my FF.

This is great advice. I have gotten so stressed over trying to finish books and push out reviews that blogging isn't fun. And I started blogging for FUN. :) I'm trying to set a better schedule for myself so I can enjoy reading and reviewing. Thanks for sharing this. And Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree! I have a pretty strict schedule and that makes me a happy blogger. Thanks for stopping by my FF. Bloglovin follower.
ReplyDeleteKimberly @ Once Upon a YA Book
Yep! I usually stress myself out but now, I'm trying to enjoy life a bit more. Also, your website is a bit distracting. I love the page idea, but with the posts shifted so far, it's a bit hard to read. Maybe you can shift it so it's more 70% post and 30% sidebar?

Thanks for the advice Nova. I'll see what I can do with it. I know that browser type has a lot to do with it unfortunately. IE tends to offset it more than chrome or FF
DeleteGreat answer. So true. Thanks for sharing :)

I definitely agree, I've learned to not say yes unless I know I have the time I want to give to it, if I don't I either tell them it will be a little while if they don't mind waiting or I can just turn it down. That way I don't get too stressed out with a pile of reviews to get out!

Great tip, your very much right. Sometimes blogging gets overwhelming with all the deadlines and you forget why your blogging to begin with. Definitely quality over quantity ;)
ReplyDeleteMy Friday Hop
That's happened to me before, too. You got this, don't worry! :)

See what I learned at my FF!
You're so right! Most of us got into this because it's supposed to be fun. If it starts to dictate what you're doing or gets overwhelming then it's time to reevaluate what you want out of it. If it's still just to have fun...then dial it back a bit. Old follower and thanks for stopping by this week!
ReplyDeleteTraci @ Mad Hatter Reads
Great advice, if you're doing this for fun don't take it too seriously and stress yourself out. If you're having fun it will show. :) Happy Friday
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. :) Happy Friday!

Sage advice. Very true! Sometimes I forget this is just a hobby because it is so time consuming!!

Dee @ Dee's Reads My FF!
Good advice. In my first month I posted 50 reviews which was insane but I pushed through as I wanted to get some content on my site. I've had to slow down though as blogging was getting in the way of my reading - unacceptable :)

I totally agree! I've forced myself to post as and when I can now. I have to juggle blogging between my job and my writing so I have to blog this way otherwise I would be pressuring myself and it would become too much like an unpaid job and no longer fun. I always want it to be fun :0)

Yeah - there's always that rush to get new content up. Especially when you're just starting out (as this blog is). But then you start to realize that there's other ways to go about getting new content up than stressing yourself out over reviews and scheduling. That's what I love about getting involved in blog hops and memes and whatnot.
ReplyDeleteThat's VERY good advice because I have found myself being overwhelmed lately. I need to take time to breath! I followed you via Bloglovin' and Networked Blog. :)
ReplyDeleteWanda @ A Book Lover's Retreat
A good advice because sometimes it's easy to forget that posting is a relaxing time...
